Sponsorship Rate Calculator

Enter your followers, engagement rate and niche to get a fair price range for a post, Reel, TikTok or YouTube integration. The formula is written out below.

How to use the sponsorship rate calculator

  1. Pick the platform: Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Each has its own base rate and its own formats, so price every platform separately.
  2. Enter followers and engagement: Use your follower or subscriber count and your average engagement rate from the last 30 days. Leave engagement empty and the calculator uses 3%.
  3. Choose your niche: Finance, tech and education pay more per follower than lifestyle. The niche factor runs from 1.0 to 1.6.
  4. Read the range, then build the offer: The headline is your main format. Add usage rights, exclusivity and rush fees as separate lines before you send a number.

The formula behind your rate

Nothing is hidden: this is the exact calculation the tool runs in your browser.

Worked example: Instagram, 50,000 followers, 4% engagement, beauty

FormatLowHigh
Feed post$736$1,150
Reel$994$1,553
Story (3 frames)$331$517
Post + Story bundle$1,178$1,840

50 × $12 × 1.33 (4% / 3%) × 1.15 (beauty) = $920 before the format factor.

Sponsorship rates by follower count

The same formula at 3% engagement in a lifestyle niche, for the main format on each platform. Start here, then adjust for your own numbers.

Price range per main format at 3% engagement

FollowersInstagram feed postTikTok dedicated videoYouTube 60-90s integration
10,000$96 to $150$80 to $125$200 to $313
50,000$480 to $750$400 to $625$1,000 to $1,563
100,000$960 to $1,500$800 to $1,250$2,000 to $3,125
500,000$4,800 to $7,500$4,000 to $6,250$10,000 to $15,625

At 6% engagement these ranges double; at 1.5% engagement or lower they halve.

Why engagement moves your price as much as followers

An Instagram account with 20,000 followers and 8% engagement gets the same feed post range ($480 to $750) as an account with 100,000 followers and 1% engagement. The engagement factor tops out at 2.5 and bottoms out at 0.5, so a small, active audience can price like an account five times its size.

Brands check that number. Before you quote a premium, measure your engagement rate properly and run your own account through a fake follower check: a clean audience is the evidence behind a high rate.

Pricing mistakes that cost creators money

Quoting before you know the scope

Ask for the deliverables, usage, exclusivity and timeline first. A quick post with 12 months of paid ads is a different job.

Giving usage rights away

A post on your own channel and the brand running your video as an ad are two products. Price the second one per month of use.

Cutting your rate instead of the scope

If the budget is fixed, remove a Story frame or a revision round and keep your price per format.

One number for every platform

A YouTube integration and a TikTok have different base rates and production time, so quote each on its own line.

No payment terms

Agree when you get paid, for example part upfront, before you post, then invoice the day the content goes live.

From your number to a signed, paid deal

Add-ons to price on top of your base rate

Add-onCommon rangeWhy it costs more
Paid usage / whitelisting rights+30% to 50% per 30 daysthe brand runs ads with your face and your content
Category exclusivity+20% to 40%you turn down competing brands for the period
Raw footage handover+15% to 30%the brand re-edits and reuses your content
Rush delivery (under 7 days)+15% to 25%you move other work to hit the date
Link in bio / pinned comment+10% to 20%placement that lasts beyond the post

Ranges creators and talent managers commonly quote. Put each add-on on its own line so a brand can drop it instead of cutting your base rate.

FAQ

How much should I charge for a sponsored post?

Start from your followers and engagement, not a flat fee. With this calculator's formula, a 50,000-follower Instagram account at 3% engagement in a lifestyle niche lands at $480 to $750 per feed post; a stronger niche or higher engagement pushes it up. Then add usage rights and exclusivity as separate lines.

How much do brands pay per 1,000 followers?

This calculator starts from $12 per 1,000 followers for an Instagram post, $10 for a TikTok video and $25 for a YouTube integration at 3% engagement, before the niche and format factors. Treat any per-1,000 figure as a starting point, not a price list.

How much should a micro-influencer charge?

Micro-influencers can charge more per follower than bigger accounts when their engagement is high. At 10,000 followers and 6% engagement the calculator gives $192 to $300 for an Instagram feed post in a lifestyle niche.

Should I charge more for usage rights?

Yes. Posting on your own channel is one price; letting the brand run your content as ads or on its own channels is another. Price it per month of use and keep exclusivity as a separate line.

Is a TikTok cheaper than a YouTube video?

Per follower, yes in this calculator: $10 per 1,000 followers for a dedicated TikTok against $25 per 1,000 subscribers for a 60-90 second YouTube integration, and a dedicated YouTube video is 2.4 times that integration.

Should I quote the low or the high end of the range?

Open near the high end when your engagement is above 3%, the brand wants usage rights or the deadline is tight. The low end is where you stop negotiating, not your first offer.

Is the sponsorship rate calculator free?

Yes. The range for your main format shows right away with no account. A free account unlocks the full rate card: every format plus the usage rights, exclusivity and rush add-ons.
