Bought views are cheap to add and hard to hide, because the other numbers on a video do not rise with them. Check a suspicious video against these tells.
Real viewers like and comment at a fairly steady rate for a given channel. A video with ten times the channel's usual views but a like rate several times lower points to views nobody engaged with. On the other side, the AI Deep Check flags likes above 25% of views as possible purchased likes, and plenty of likes with almost no comments.
The AI Deep Check measures each recent upload's likes and comments per view against the channel's own average and flags uploads more than 2.5 standard deviations above it. It also flags an upload older than 7 days whose daily views sit more than 2.5 standard deviations above the channel average.
Real views arrive mostly in the first days after upload, then slow down. When the older half of a channel's recent uploads averages more than 1.5 times the daily views of the newer half, the report flags the reverse pattern, a common trace of views bought for older videos.
A channel whose uploads average under 1% of its subscriber count, or whose lifetime views are lower than its subscribers, is not being watched by that audience. The free check grades both in seconds.
View campaigns often come with generic comments: one-word praise, emoji strings, self-promotion or the same line under several videos. The AI Deep Check reads top comments on up to 7 recent uploads and flags those patterns, plus commenting channels created in the last 7 days.
A video promoted with YouTube ads gains a public view the moment the ad starts to play, and many of those viewers never like or comment. From outside, a promoted video and a botted one can look alike, so the report names the pattern and asks which it was instead of calling the views fake.
Since August 24, 2026, YouTube counts a view the moment a video starts to play, in every format: long-form videos, Shorts and live streams. A raw view count therefore says less about watching than likes and comments per view do. Money follows stricter measures: Partner Program earnings use engaged views and engaged watch hours, and eligibility uses qualified views.
YouTube still filters views so that metrics come from people rather than programs: it may slow down, freeze or change a count while it checks traffic, and it discards low-quality playbacks, such as one video played on several devices or in several windows and tabs. Ads count as well: a video ad adds a public view the moment it starts to play, so a promoted video can gain many views from people who never engage.
Buying views breaks YouTube's fake engagement policy, and so do serving a video to viewers who did not choose it and knowingly using a service that inflates live stream traffic. If you hire someone to promote a channel, their methods count as yours: content can be removed whoever bought the views. A first violation is usually a warning; three strikes within 90 days can end the channel.

The three newest uploads average 2,862 views per day; the three oldest average 14,987, more than five times as many. Real views slow down with age, so the report flags the reverse velocity pattern.
Uploads D and E also earn 0.2% likes per view while the channel's other videos earn about 4%: hundreds of thousands of views that almost nobody liked. That does not prove the views were bought, but it is the pattern to question before paying for a sponsored video.

Average view duration, retention and traffic sources are in YouTube Studio, not on the public page. Bought views often show up there as very short sessions or a burst from a single outside source. If you are about to sponsor a video, ask the creator to share its Studio analytics: an outside checker can flag suspicious patterns, but it cannot see watch time.

Every flag comes from fixed thresholds in code, the same for every channel. The AI writes the summary and points out contradictions between the numbers; it never invents a figure or sets the verdict.
It cannot see watch time, retention or traffic sources, which only the channel owner has in YouTube Studio, and it does not remove views or report channels. It takes either a video link, which reads that one video, or a channel handle, which reads the channel's recent uploads.

Compare how many are watching with what the audience does. A stream with thousands watching and a chat that barely moves, or far more views than the channel's other streams with few likes, is the usual sign. Knowingly using a service that inflates live traffic breaks YouTube's fake engagement policy. Paste the live stream's link and the checker reads its public views, likes and comments; it does not read the live viewer count.
