On a computer:
On the Gmail app the list is in the menu (three lines, top left), under Manage subscriptions.
In new Outlook and on Outlook.com:
No button? The sender did not add the unsubscribe header: use the link at the bottom of the email.
In the Mail app:
| Mail app | One email | Many at once |
|---|---|---|
| Gmail | Unsubscribe next to the sender's name | More, then Manage subscriptions |
| Outlook | Unsubscribe in the header | Settings, Mail, Subscriptions |
| iPhone Mail | The mailing-list banner at the top | One email at a time |
| Yahoo Mail | The link in the email | Subscriptions in the left menu |
| ChamsPilot | One tap per sender | Every mailbox at once, plus new ones automatically |
Checked October 2026. Each app only sees its own mailbox.
Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo each have a subscriptions list that handles their own mailbox. If you read mail in more than one place, or want new newsletters stopped without thinking about it, a single tool is faster.
ChamsPilot connects Gmail, Outlook and any IMAP mailbox (Yahoo, iCloud, your work email). It lists every newsletter from the last 90 days by how much it sends, unsubscribes from the top ones in one tap, and does the rest a few at a time so no mailbox limit is hit. Keep my inbox clean then handles new newsletters as they arrive.
For brands and newsletters you signed up for, yes. The safest way is the unsubscribe button your mail app shows near the sender: it uses the standard unsubscribe request (one-click or an email to the list) and opens no website.
For spam from someone you never signed up with, do not click anything in the email, including its unsubscribe link: it can confirm that your address is read. Mark it as spam instead.
Since 2024 large senders to Gmail and Yahoo must honour an unsubscribe within two days, so a few more emails can arrive. A sender that keeps writing after that is ignoring the request: block it or mark it as spam, which also teaches your spam filter.

Yes, from brands and newsletters you signed up for: the unsubscribe button your mail app shows is the safest way, because it does not open a website. For spam from someone you never signed up with, do not click anything in the email: mark it as spam.
Gmail, Outlook and Yahoo each list your subscriptions in one place (see the steps above). To clear several mailboxes at once, connect them to ChamsPilot: it lists every newsletter by how much it sends and unsubscribes from the top ones in one tap.
Large senders must stop within two days of an unsubscribe request, so a few more can arrive. If a sender keeps writing after that, block it or mark it as spam.
