A text box laid over old words leaves the original showing through or the spacing uneven. This editor replaces the words themselves: the old line is removed and your text is set in its place, with the same weight, colour and size.
Each page you change is rebuilt from a high-resolution image of that page, at about 216 dpi, so logos, borders, stamps and backgrounds come out exactly where they were. Pages you did not touch are copied as they are.
When your new wording is longer, the lines below move down, and a page that overflows continues on a new page instead of printing text over text. Text in a table cell wraps inside its cell.

Changing a PDF's own words needs the file on our server while you work. Before anything is stored, the upload is scanned for malware. The file then sits in a private editing session reached only through a random link your browser holds.
An hourly clean-up deletes every session older than 48 hours, together with its page images, the edited copy and anything else created from it. Your document is not shared or used for anything but your edits. A copy you choose to save to your account stays there until you remove it.

The editor keeps the weight, slant, colour and size, sets your words in the closest standard typeface and moves the lines below down when your text is longer. Scanned pages are read by OCR first so their words can be clicked.
Editing is free and the PDF you download has no watermark. Each editing session uses one download credit: 2 sessions without an account and 2 more with a free account; paid plans are not limited by this counter. Downloading the same session again is free.
Yes. Draw your signature once, place it anywhere, then move and resize it. It is an image of your signature on the page. For a contract both sides sign, with dates and a signature certificate, use a ChamsPilot deal page.
Only while you edit, unless you choose to save it. Editing a PDF's own words happens on our server: the upload is scanned for malware, kept in a private editing session and deleted, with every page image and edited copy made from it, within 48 hours. Save to my account keeps a copy in your account until you remove it.
Use an editor that replaces the words instead of covering them. Here you click the printed line, retype it and download: the page is rebuilt around your new words, so logos, borders and tables stay where they were.
Upload it as usual. Pages with no text layer are read by OCR so their words become clickable; check each retyped line, because OCR is most accurate on clear English text.
